The Oread Angel Investors network is building its lineup for several upcoming pitch opportunities, and we’re looking for KU-connected companies ready to get in front of investors.
With multiple Oread Angels events planned before the end of the year, now is the time for founders seeking investment to submit their company for consideration.
Why it matters: Oread Angels connects promising companies with a growing network of investors interested in early-stage opportunities and innovative businesses with strong growth potential.
Companies selected to pitch have the opportunity to:
- Present directly to active angel investors
- Build relationships with investors and business leaders
- Increase visibility among a network connected to the University of Kansas and the broader regional innovation community
- Open the door to investment conversations that can continue well beyond the pitch event
Since launching in 2024, Oread Angels has grown to more than 100 members and created new connections between investors and companies seeking capital.
Who should apply?
Oread Angels is looking for compelling companies with a strong business case, a clear path for growth and an investment opportunity ready for consideration.
Companies must have a connection to the University of Kansas to pitch. That connection can take many forms, including a founder or member of the leadership team who is a KU alumnus, a company built around KU research or technology, a current or former KU Innovation Park company or another meaningful connection to the university.
Companies do not need to be based in Lawrence or Kansas to be considered. If there’s a Jayhawk connection and you’re building something investors should know about, we want to hear from you.

We curate pitch opportunities, and submitting doesn’t guarantee a spot at an upcoming event. But with several opportunities ahead, the sooner we know about your company, the better.
